It couldn’t be easier, just attach your files to an email and email it through to us with the correct amount of bleed (See below). Make sure to clearly identify your artwork and the order it corresponds to by including your full name, telephone number and your order number on your email. If we are in any doubt, we will give you a call before we print. Alternatively, you can drop by our office with your artwork on a memory key.
Bleed is the area at the edge of the design which allows for a small margin of error when the finished print is cut by the guillotine.
It is essential to allow a certain amount of bleed, usually 5mm bleed throughout, when setting out your artwork in order to avoid seeing white marks at the edge of the finished print.
That’s no problem at all! Our graphic design team can create a custom design for you at an additional charge.
Just let us know when you’re ordering, give us any relevant ideas, images, text and logos/branding to include in the design and any rough ideas of the type of design your looking for and we’ll take it from there.
Yes, proofs will be sent via email to you for proof reading. It is imperative that each item of stationery is proof read. We suggest a minimum of 3 people proof read your stationery. We would advice proofing is done from the hard copy and not from the computer screen. It is the customer’s responsibility to proof the stationery as the customer will have the final say and give the go ahead for the printer to hit print! If there are any errors let McNamara Printers know immediately and new proofs will be sent out to via email. If mistakes are not identified and customer approval is given, reprint charges will apply.
Ideally place your order at least 4-6 months before the date of your wedding. However we aim to meet your stationery requirements in a time frame that suits you where possible.
It depends on wedding guest numbers, couples and single invitations. We would suggest you order more than the exact number required to cover unforeseen circumstances. Remember that all family members will want an invite and it’s nice to have and keep a memento for yourselves!
Yes, ideally ordering enough invitations at the beginning will cut costs as ordering more invitations afterwards will be a little more costly as the process will need to be started again, but yes we keep your records on file and it’s possible to order more if need be.

It’s very easy… ok a standard sheet of paper that goes into a printer is A4 Size! Half the size of an A4 sheet is A5 Size, A6 is half of A5, A7 is half of A6.
Now going the other way… Double an A4 sheet then becomes A3 Size, Double A3 size becomes A2, Double A2 becomes A1 Size and so on… These sizes are handy if you were thinking of doing a Large Wedding Table Plan!
When deciding on an envelope, just replace the A with a C and that is your envelope size for the above. For Example – An A4 flat sheet fits into a C4 Envelope or an A6 Card fits into a C6 Envelope… and so on. The standard business Envelope is DL Size similar size to a standard business compliment slip.
We use can print in any size you need. Choosing standard print sizes can help save you and your clients money. We normally use European ISO A Sizes. The most convenient and distinguishing characteristic of ISO paper is that each format has an aspect ratio equal to the square root of two (1:4142) which makes it simple to enlarge or reduce a document for printing on another ISO paper format.
Other popular standard sizes are mostly used for Photo and Home Decor that will fit to pre-made frame sizes, which are measured on inches. A few of the most common sizes are 6×4, 5×7, 8×10, 11×14, 16×20, 18×24, and 24×36 inches. The most popular size we use for weddings is 5×7 inches.
We also do single or folded square and DL sizes for wedding stationery. See more samples below.
See our paper guide sizes that we can use for single wedding invites or wedding day items.
